COURT, Uganda Journalist Association (UJA) President Hajji Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira and three others have been granted noncash of Shs4 millions on charges of criminal defamation.

Kazibwe is accused of airing a story on Bukedde FM where residents of Katanga were threatened with illegal eviction by Pastor Daniel Walugembe.

Those charged along with Kazibwe include the Local Council 1 members Thomas Bagonza, Beatrice Nabwire and Hassan Ssegawa

Securities were also bonded at Shs4 million noncash and the accused restrained from discuss the matter until it’s disposed of.

The matter was been adjourned to 28th March 2019
