Police investigates Toyota Uganda fire out break

NAMAVE, Uganda Police Force is investigating the fire out break at Toyota Uganda Ltd head office that left one vehicle burnt and few others damaged. Mr Emilian Kayimaya, Police spokesperson described the incident as unfortunate.

“They reported the fire out break and Fire Brigade responded immediately to put it out. One vehicle was burned and our officers are investigating the cause of the fire,” he told Uganda Vanguard Sunday, September 30, 2018.

The firm was established in 2005 and is owned by Toyota Tsusho Corporation which is in turn a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. As the exclusive distributor of toyota vehicles, it is the only company authorised to distribute and sell new toyota vehicles and parts in Uganda as well as offer toyota manufacturer’s warranty.

Toyota Uganda maintains a stock of over 150 new vehicles in bond in Kampala including models such as toyota land cruiser, prado, fortuner, hilux single cabin & double cabin pick-up, camry, corolla and yaris.
