KAMPALA – Events manager of the flopped Easter show where Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was scheduled to perform have requested Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago to handle his case.

Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo Events handed over the file to Lukwago, a prominent city lawyer Wednesday April 24, 2019 requesting him to represent his team in court regarding #KyarengaExtraShow2019.

Lukago promised to set up a legal team to sue President Yoweri Museveni government.

“The intention is to ensure Bobi Wine and the entire Fire Base Crew return to stage performance which right has been infringed on and threatened by the Uganda Police Force,” he said.

Lukwago further explained, “Police act was an abuse of rights and freedoms the show organizers.”

The show scheduled for Easter Monday, was blocked by the Uganda Police arresting the promoters and Kyagulanyi amidst teargas and live bullets.

The last year’ concert when Kyaguyani was out of prison at the same venue turned a political platform where President Museveni was rebuked for ruling Uganda for over three decades with an iron hand.

He later told Kyagulanyi to concentrate on his music career and instead leave politics to politicians. However Kyagulanyi shot back saying if that is the case, the President who is cattle keeper should retire and go look after his animals.
